Funded Research
The 78 research projects funded in cycle I are outlined in the sections that follow. An introduction to each section describes the Council's objectives in choosing the respective area for funding, and explains how the funded research fits the Program priorities. The abstracts for the funded research in that area follows; each abstract is headed with the project's title and the principal investigator's name and institution. The duration and cost of each project are listed in the Summary of Awards by Institution.
