Description of the Research Projects that Participated in the Evaluation
The evaluation covered nine funded research projects. These projects involved very different communities, including:
- Women with breast cancer (stages 1-3) living in the San Francisco Bay Area;
- Low-income women with breast cancer;
- Recently diagnosed underserved, rural women with primary breast cancer
- Adult women living in Marin County;
- California lesbians over 40 and their heterosexual friends and sisters;
- Samoan women in Los Angeles and Orange Counties;
- Korean women in the Los Angeles area;
- Newly diagnosed women in the Santa Cruz area;
- Women with primary breast cancer living in Northern California.
